Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly is Adobe’s family of generative AI models, focused on creating images and visual effects from text prompts. Integrated into Adobe’s creative tools (and also accessible through a web interface), Firefly allows users to generate unique images, apply artistic styles, and even edit existing graphics using natural language instructions.

For instance, a user can type a prompt to create an image (like “a scenic watercolor landscape at sunset”) and Firefly will produce a variety of outputs matching that description. It can also do contextual edits: in Photoshop, using Firefly’s capabilities via “Generative Fill,” one could select part of an image and ask the AI to modify it or add elements.

Adobe has trained Firefly on licensed and public domain content, aiming for commercially safe results. Tailored for designers and content creators, Adobe Firefly streamlines creative workflows by offering AI-generated visuals that can be further refined or used as-is, all within the Adobe ecosystem.
